This opportunity is suited to someone with at least two years’ relevant experience who enjoys varied work, takes ownership of tasks and works well within a team.

Key responsibilities

Responsibilities will be allocated according to your experience and will include:

  • Providing paralegal support to solicitors across a range of legal matters.
  • Conducting legal research and preparing summaries to support advice, transactions and case preparation.
  • Assisting with drafting, reviewing and proofreading legal documents, court documents and correspondence under supervision.
  • Preparing and organising supporting documents, hearing bundles and transaction documentation.
  • Coordinating court filing and service of documents where required, in accordance with applicable procedures and the legal team’s instructions.
  • Arranging the delivery and collection of documents and liaising with courts, government departments and other relevant parties.
  • Assisting with non-contentious matters, including document preparation, due diligence and completion arrangements.
  • Liaising with clients, counsel and other professional advisers on administrative and procedural matters as directed.
  • Maintaining accurate and organised electronic and physical files, records and document-management systems.
  • Monitoring deadlines and assisting the legal team with follow-up and matter coordination.
  • Providing related clerical and administrative support and handling other tasks as required.

What we are looking for

  • A law degree or equivalent legal qualification, with at least two years’ paralegal or comparable experience, ideally in a Hong Kong law firm.
  • Strong research, drafting and proofreading skills, with close attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Experience in court filing and litigation procedures is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; Chinese preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document-management systems.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach, sound judgment, respect for confidentiality, and the ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and relevant skills. Immediate availability or a short notice period would be an advantage.
