Timothy is a corporate and commercial lawyer dually qualified in Hong Kong and Australia. Timothy strives to offer pragmatic and timely advices to all clients who cross paths with me.

In Timothy’s practice since 2011, Timothy regularly supports clients on a wide range of non-contentious matters, including corporate financings, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, regulatory compliance, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, general business transactions and internal governance related issues.

A lot of Timothy’s work is cross-jurisdictional. The clients Timothy work with stem from a variety of background such as private start-ups, technology providers, licensed corporations, listed companies, trust companies, institutional and individual investors, chief officers and directors. Having the opportunity to be seconded to a company listed in the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Timothy understands the need to manage commercial expectations while in parallel deliver practical and cost effective solutions.

In recent years, Timothy has been invited by various blockchain enthusiasts to advise on matters related to cryptoassets. They include initial coin offerings (ICO), initial exchange offerings (IEO), security token offerings (STO), regulatory implications and token legal characterizations, token functionality and architectural design, and post-offer listing works with exchange platforms.

Timothy’s practice also extends to other areas of law including outbound migrations, employment and general litigation.

Timothy is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and can read and write Chinese.
