Timothy is a seasoned lawyer dual qualified in Hong Kong and Australia with over 15 years of practice and a strong focus on corporate law, specialising in corporate finance and private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and general commercial advisory, assisting businesses to prepare and navigate their external operating commercial contracts and internal governance instruments, as well as fundraising and investment transactions.

Timothy frequently works with private and listed companies, venture capital and private equity funds, family offices, SFC licensed corporations, institutional and professional investors, startups, and C-suite officers.

In recent years prior to TITUS, Timothy was legal counsel (executive director rank) of a HKEX Main Board listed company chaired by the heir to one of Hong Kong’s largest real estate conglomerates, where he was heavily involved in its legal affairs, including multiple publicly announced equity and debt financing rounds, structural advisory, and subsidiary licensing operations, encompassing SFC regulated activity licences (Types 1, 4, 6 and 9), an insurance broker licence, and a Trust or Company Service Provider licence.

Timothy’s practice also extends to white collar crime defence, in which he has represented individual and corporate clients against ICAC and SFC investigations and charges involving fraudulent investment activities and misconduct, money laundering, and other organised and serious crimes.

Timothy is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, and reads and writes Chinese.
