MICHAEL C. ELLIS

Michael C. Ellis obtained his MBA from University of East Asia in Macau, CPE from Hong Kong University in Hong Kong and DLP from Bristol University in the United Kingdom. He has extensive experience in law enforcement and the entertainment industry. For the last 21 years, he has represented and advised the leading Hollywood studios. The work included protecting intellectual property rights, heading government interaction, WTO and WIPO engagement, seeking law reforms, and strategically leading investigations and litigation across the Asia Pacific region. Prior to his legal career, he served as a Superintendent in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force, and was appointed as Aide-de-camp to the last Governor Lord Christopher Patten. Prior to being Aide-de-camp, he had extensive experience in investigating serious crime and headed a unit in the Commercial Crime Bureau responsible for investigating and assisting in the prosecution of complex commercial crimes and extradition requests. He is qualified to practice in Hong Kong and England & Wales.
